Rajarshee Datta is a renewable energy professional and business development leader with international experience spanning the Middle East, India, Europe, and Japan. His work focuses on developing and scaling integrated energy systems across hydrogen, solar PV, energy management systems (EMS), biomass, and geothermal technologies.
He spent his formative years growing up in Oman, an experience that exposed him early to diverse cultures and global perspectives. He later moved to India, where he built his academic foundation in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with electives in Renewable Energy. During this period, he also began his professional career as a Technical Analyst, developing strong analytical thinking, systems-oriented problem solving, and a practical understanding of execution within real-world constraints. This phase grounded him in structured delivery, operational discipline, and technology-driven decision-making.
Seeking deeper technical and international exposure, Rajarshee pursued his master’s studies in Stockholm, Sweden. There, he combined advanced academic work with hands-on professional experience, further strengthening his expertise in energy systems, research-driven development, and cross-functional collaboration in a European engineering environment.
Following this, he returned to the Middle East and India for professional engagements before relocating to Japan, where his career entered a more execution- and leadership-driven phase. In Japan, he has played key roles in the design, development, commissioning, and operation of renewable hydrogen plants, fuel cell systems, EMS architectures, and biomass and geothermal projects, while also navigating Japan’s complex regulatory, safety, and compliance frameworks.
He currently serves as Manager of the Business Development Group, overseeing projects and initiatives across hydrogen, solar PV, EMS, biomass, and geothermal domains. His work sits at the intersection of technical engineering, commercial feasibility, regulatory alignment, and long-term energy strategy — with a strong emphasis on turnkey project development and scalable deployment models.
